Tips on using a road roller
(1) Rolling rollers: Rolling rollers rely on their own weight to compact materials with static pressure during operation. They are divided into two types: surface roller type and tire type. The following matters should be paid attention to when using the roller compactor:
When emergency braking occurs during work or driving, you must first depress the main clutch pedal to cut off the power, and then depress the brake pedal, otherwise the brakes may be easily damaged; when releasing the brake pedal, you should first release the brake pedal, and then release the main clutch. board to resume driving.
For rollers with a differential locking device, the differential locking device should be placed in the differential position during normal operation to facilitate the steering of the machine and avoid damage to the road surface; when the machine is stuck in a mud pit or has large rocks, When the rear wheel is blocked and the rear wheel slips, the differential locking device can be placed in the locked position to help the machine overcome rear wheel slippage and overcome obstacles.
The engine must be stopped when changing gears before going uphill, and the vehicle should be in low gear when going downhill.
It is strictly forbidden to make sharp turns when driving at high speed.
When several rollers work together, the distance between them should be greater than 3m to avoid collision or difficulty in steering.
Long-distance driving should be avoided; when long-distance transfers are required, other vehicles should be used to carry the vehicle.
(2) Vibratory rollers: Vibratory rollers rely on the combined action of rolling weight, static pressure and vibration force to compact materials. According to the mode of travel, vibratory rollers include support type, hand-held type and self-propelled type, and the self-propelled type is commonly used. The following matters should be paid attention to when using vibratory rollers:
When changing the driving speed, you must first disengage the main clutch or the reversing clutch before pulling the transmission handle to shift gears.
When changing the driving direction of the roller, you must first move the reversing handle from the forward (reverse) position to the neutral position, and then move the handle to the backward (forward) position after the roller has stopped. Do not pull it all the way at once to avoid damage to the machine parts due to sudden changes in driving direction.
When the road roller is operating, if it is found that the reversing clutch or the vibration clutch is slipping, the machine should be stopped immediately and the main clutch should be disconnected; the reversing clutch or vibration clutch must be inspected, adjusted and troubleshooted. Do not increase the accelerator and try to drive with high speed and power, otherwise the clutch plate will be burned.
When compacting loose materials, static pressure should be applied 1 to 2 times before vibration rolling.
The vibration of the road roller should be started or stopped during operation to avoid damaging the road surface. It is strictly prohibited to start vibrating on hard roads to avoid damaging the vibration damping device or other parts.
High-speed gear can be used when making short-distance transitions on flat roads, but if the distance is longer, other means of transport must be used.
When going up or downhill, you should change to low speed in advance. It is prohibited to go up or downhill at high speed.
When performing high-speed rolling operations, it is prohibited to activate the vibration starting device.
